A Plant Man Service

Temporary & Immersive Landscapes

We build landscapes that don't have to stay.

Plant Man designs, builds, installs, and removes temporary landscapes and immersive natural environments for weddings, galas, corporate events, trade shows, brand activations, seasonal displays, and fundraisers. This is real landscape construction (boulders, water, planting, structure, lighting) built to a schedule instead of a property line: a complete environment for the length of an event, then reclaimed. It is not plant rental, and it is not floral decor.

Landscape Construction, Not Plant Rental

Elton has designed and built temporary show gardens and exhibition landscapes for years, including award-recognized displays at one of the Southeast's largest garden and trade shows: multiple awards across several years, including consecutive Best in Show recognition in 2019 and 2020. That same construction and design capability is now applied to events directly, most recently a large-scale, fully realized "Wizard of Oz"-themed environment built for the Urban League's annual gala.

The difference between this and a typical event vendor is what's underneath: waterfalls that actually run, boulders that actually get set, planting beds that actually get built out, not staged around the edges of a tent. Most event and exhibition vendors can decorate a space. Plant Man can construct the landscape a space is missing.

What We Can Create

Every event is different, so what gets built is designed around it rather than pulled from a fixed catalog: a complete immersive landscape around a stage or seating area, a ceremony garden built for the exact sightlines of a wedding, a woodland or botanical entrance that resets a guest's sense of where they are the moment they walk in, a living backdrop built for photography, a show-garden-caliber landscape for a trade show or exhibition booth, a branded environment for a corporate event or activation, a themed installation for a gala or fundraiser, a seasonal display, a temporary water feature, natural screening to reshape a space, or boulders, stone, and specimen planting used the way they would be on a permanent property. The starting point is always the same question: what should someone feel the moment they arrive.

How It Works

Concept & Design

We start with the event itself: the venue, the schedule, the guest experience, and what you want people to feel the moment they arrive. The design works around those constraints from the start, not the other way around.

Sourcing & Preparation

Materials, plant material, and any structural elements are sourced for the specific installation. Plant Man doesn't maintain a large standing rental inventory; what gets built is determined project by project, based on what the design actually calls for.

Installation

Crews build the landscape on-site on your schedule, working around venue access, load-in windows, and anything else already happening at the property.

The Event

The finished environment is ready for guests, staged and lit for however long your event runs.

Removal & Reclamation

Once the event is over, everything comes back out, on schedule, with the site left clean.

Beyond What We've Built Before

These are permanent Plant Man landscapes, shown here to demonstrate the environments, materials, and design capability that can inform a temporary installation: the same boulders, water, lighting, and specimen planting, built to stay instead of built to come down.
